Volleyball at the Hotel de Ville

Finally, a real summer day!

It’s a holiday here in France, too, so people are especially happy. Good timing!

What a neat place to get to play volleyball!

It’s just a wee bit surreal! Have you not had good summer weather up there?

Definitely surreal – that’s why I like it! And my gosh. The weather has been horrid! We’ve basically skipped summer entirely up here. We see the sun and it’s a huge event. Sometimes I wonder why I’m not in the sunny South with you!

Wow, I knew that les plages have been along the Seine. Now the sand has moved to the Hotel de Ville — how fun and wonderful. Did you get a game in Sion?

A lot of sand, some safety nets, two dozen of tanned guys with sleeveless T-shirt, are you sure it wasn’t a pre-rehabilitation of the faΓ§ade up here?

I must have just missed you again! My cousin is in town visiting and I took him right past there to check out Paris plage in all its glory. One day we’ll get the timing right πŸ™‚

I wonder if such an impressive backdrop forces the players to elevate their game? That could possibly be the most glamorous volleyball match, ever. πŸ™‚

paris (im)perfect?

Sion Dayson is paris (im)perfect. Writer, dreamer, I moved to France on – no exaggerating – a romantic whim. As you can imagine, a lot can go wrong (and very right!) with such a (non)plan. These are the (im)perfect stories that result.
